Palak Paneer Recipe


 Indian cottage cheese is simmered onion tomato spinach gravy. This palak paneer is one of the best you can make at home. Serve palak paneer with flavored/plain rice, roti, naan.

Serving 4-5

Ingredients for palak paneer recipe:

150 grams paneer / Indian cottage cheese
2 onions medium-fine chopped
Half cup tomato fine chopped
2 cups palak / Indian Spinach
2 tablespoons oil or 2 cubes butter
3-4 green chilies deseeded for less spicy
1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
Blend 10-12 Cashewnuts for cream
Half teaspoon garam masala
Half teaspoon Kasuri methi

Spices
one teaspoon Cumin
2  cardamom
a little bit of Cinnamon
2 cloves

How to make Palak Paneer:
1. Pluk only the tender palak leaves and separate from the stems keep spinach leaves in water up to 5 minutes. Rinse them a few times

2. Take a Thick Pan, heat one teaspoon oil, fry seedless green chilies and spinach leaves for 5 - 6 minutes until the leaves wilt off thoroughly

3. keep aside the spinach leaves, then blend the cashew nuts for paste, next blend the Spinach leaves to get a smooth puree.

4. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a thick pan and fry cumin, cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves until they sizzle.

5. Then add Onions and fry till they turn reddish-brown. next, add ginger garlic paste a few minutes

6. Next, add tomatoes with some salt, add Kasuri methi, Garam masala Statue until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan

7. Add half cup of water and cook until the mixture thickness, lower the flame, add the spinach puree, Cashewnuts paste mix it well and cook until it begins to bubble for about 3 to 4 minutes.

8. Avoid overcooking, add paneer cubes and mix well. If using cream pour it now and turn off the stove

9. Finally, Serve Palak Panner with naan, roti or rice.
